Man charged with breaking into vehicle and stealing tweezers granted bail
Man charged with breaking into vehicles and stealing tweezers has been granted bail. Robert Rennie, 53, appeared from custody at Ayr Sheriff Court in connection with multiple alleged vehicle theft incidents in Troon. He faces charges of entering insecure vehicles and attempting to steal a motor vehicle or items at the Asda car park on Academy Street on May 25, and a separate charge for entering another vehicle there to steal tweezers. Investigators also accuse him of attempting to gain access to a Dacia and a Tesla on Church Street, and of another incident at Troon Golf Course. The case was continued without plea while bail conditions were set. Bail was granted under conditions that he does not enter the listed locations, and the matter will return to court at a later date.
