Adonai Mitchell's long-awaited Jets return from mystery finger injury gives offense the boost it needs

Jets receiver Adonai Mitchell returned to the media Friday for the first time since a “mystery finger” issue sidelined him for four games. Mitchell said he couldn’t recall how he injured the right-hand finger or whether he needed surgery. Head coach Aaron Glenn had listed him day to day after the Sept. 24 incident, saying the finger got caught in a teammate’s jersey; Mitchell missed the Sunday loss to the Lions, and the team later acknowledged a minor procedure. Mitchell practiced fully Friday and is set to play Sunday against the Dolphins at MetLife Stadium. With Mitchell back, New York expects to have its full set of pass catchers for the first time since Week 1.
