Air Arabia Launches Direct Sharjah-London Gatwick Service | Aviation Week
Air Arabia has launched a new twice-daily nonstop service between Sharjah International Airport in the United Arab Emirates and London Gatwick Airport. The Sharjah-based low-cost carrier inaugurated the route on July 4, with a second daily flight planned to start on July 10. Flights will be operated by Airbus A321neo LR aircraft. Air Arabia’s group chief executive officer Adel Al Ali said the London connection is a “significant addition” as demand for travel continues to grow, supporting tourism, business and cultural exchange. Sharjah International Airport Authority chairman Ali Salim Al Midfa described the route as a “vital bridge” between commercial and cultural centers. The expansion brings Air Arabia to more than 76 destinations across about 34 countries, with new service to Aleppo, Syria, set for July 7.
