Air Canada Launches New 9-Hour Nonstop A321XLR Route Today: See Schedule Now
xCruzo Brief
Air Canada launched nonstop service from Toronto Pearson (YYZ) to Tenerife South (TFS) today, using its Airbus A321XLR for the roughly nine-hour overnight route. The flight becomes the only nonstop connection from Canada to the Canary Islands, at least initially. Air Transat is expected to follow with its own nonstop flights to the Spanish archipelago in December, including links to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (LPA). Air Canada also plans a seasonal addition from Montréal-Trudeau (YUL) to Tenerife South one week later, starting October 31, with weekly frequency. Both routes will run seasonally until the end of the Northern Hemisphere winter season, with final rotations expected in late April, with Toronto-to-Tenerife operating twice weekly.
