Air New Zealand Launches 6 New Major Nonstop Routes: See Full List Now

Air New Zealand is rolling out six new major nonstop routes, using Cirium data and building on changes to its long-haul flying from Christchurch. The carrier plans to become the first international operator at Western Sydney Airport (WSI), a second Sydney gateway outside Penrith that won’t be bound by the tight curfew at Sydney Kingsford Smith (SYD). The airline will start a three-times-weekly Auckland (AKL) to WSI service on October 26, 2026, using the Airbus A320neo. Alongside that, Air New Zealand will resume long-haul flights from Christchurch after more than six years, with plans to bring back Boeing 787-9 services.
