Airbus profits rise amid demand for commercial aircraft - AOL

Airbus reported stronger results in the first half, with commercial aircraft orders surging despite what the company called a “complex and fast-changing environment.” Consolidated revenues rose 12% year-on-year to €33.2 billion for the six months ended June, while adjusted EBIT climbed to €2.7 billion from €2.2 billion. Airbus delivered 351 commercial aircraft—44 A220s, 271 A320 Family jets, 10 A330s and 26 A350s—and commercial aircraft revenues increased 15% to €23.9 billion, helped by higher deliveries and services and partially offset by US dollar depreciation versus H1 2025. Gross orders totaled 886 with net orders of 821, leaving a backlog of 9,222 aircraft. The company also updated production targets, aiming for A220 output of 13 per month in 2028 and A320 rates of 70–75 per month by end-2027. Guidance for 2026 assumes no added disruptions to global trade, air traffic or the supply chain, and includes impacts from currently applicable tariffs.
