The 528-metre tower, a 109-floor landmark, is among the 10 tallest buildings globally. Social media footage showed debris falling from the building, along with what appeared to be the aircraft’s tail section, and a taxi below with a shattered window. Authorities had not confirmed casualties as of the report, while police and firefighters controlled access and asked some people to delete photos. Images appeared to show two damaged windows on the side of the skyscraper. Unverified flight data from Flightradar24 suggested a severely deviated path, and visible registration codes indicated it may have been a domestically made Sunward SA 60L Aurora light sport aircraft. Reuters later said no immediate official comments were available.
