Alaska Air expects Boeing 737 MAX 10 certification by end-September

Alaska Air expects Boeing’s 737 MAX 10 to receive certification by the end of September, with its first delivery planned for next spring, Chief Operating Officer Jason Berry told Reuters. The carrier also expects to enter passenger service with the aircraft between April and mid-May. The announcement comes from Chicago on Sept. 24, following Boeing’s ongoing work to complete the MAX 10 certification process. Alaska’s timing suggests it is preparing to bring the MAX 10 into operations early in the next schedule season, assuming certification and delivery milestones stay on track.
