Amazon Boeing 767 Overrun in Miami Turns Deadly With Five Killed and Three Fighting for Their Lives

A Boeing 767 operated for Amazon by cargo carrier 21 Air overran Runway 30 at Miami International Airport on Sunday, arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico, at about 1:58pm local time. The aircraft crossed a road, struck multiple vehicles near Northwest 42nd Avenue, and came to rest in a field, erupting into flames and sending black smoke over one of the busiest airports in the U.S. Five people died and five were injured, with three in critical condition at a trauma centre, Miami-Dade Fire Chief Raied Jadallah said. More than 60 fire rescue units responded. Investigators are led by the NTSB, with weather including thunderstorms and gusts of 17 knots to 26 reported.
