American Airlines Reveals New 7-Hour Nonstop Route: See Map Now

American Airlines is adding a new nonstop route between New York JFK and Seattle–Tacoma (SEA), scheduled to launch on April 2, 2027, as part of its next timetable update. The carrier—an oneworld member—will operate the service twice daily using the 196-seat Airbus A321neo, marking one of only four airlines with nonstop flights on the market. Flight schedules show departures from JFK for SEA at 7:45 AM and 5:29 PM, with return flights including an overnight departure back to New York at 10:38 PM (arriving 7:02 AM+1). American previously served the transcontinental route using Boeing 757/767 and 737-800 until it exited in 2019.
