Austin airport welcomed a record 2.1 million passengers in June

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport recorded a record 2,102,853 passengers in June, beating the previous high set last October by nearly 17,000 travelers. New data released Wednesday shows a 4.4% year-over-year increase for the month and a 5.1% gain versus May. In the first half of 2026, 10.8 million people flew through Austin, up 4.6% compared with the same period in 2025. Eight airlines posted gains in June, led by JetBlue, whose passenger traffic rose 242% year over year—its largest increase. Southwest remained the No. 1 carrier with about 916,500 passengers (+11%), carrying roughly 500,000 more than Delta’s 402,000. Cargo fell 4.1%, international cargo dropped 2.7%, and total aircraft operations rose 3.8%.
