xCruzo Brief

Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO) has begun exporting solar cells to the United States while renewing key airline handling partnerships. The company said BGE Nigeria Solar FZE started shipping solar cells from Lagos to the U.S. in January 2026, using NAHCO cargo handling facilities. NAHCO stated the initial shipments were carried on scheduled services, including Lufthansa, Ethiopian Airlines, Turkish Airlines and DHL, with consignment volumes of 20 to 50 tonnes via freight-forwarding partners such as Access Freight and Ideal Royal. Alongside the export project, NAHCO extended its Qatar Airways agreement by three years and Saudia Airlines by five years, and secured a three-year extension with ASKY Airlines. It also signed a three-year ground handling contract with FlyGabon running from October 2024 to September 2027. The initiative supports Nigeria’s non-oil export push and NAHCO’s trade facilitation role.
