Biman Bangladesh Airlines Orders 11 More Boeing Jets to Expand Fleet

Boeing and Biman Bangladesh Airlines say the national carrier has ordered 11 additional aircraft—five Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners and six 737-8 MAX jets—to grow and renew its fleet. The deal builds on Biman’s earlier, record order for 14 787 Dreamliner and 737 MAX aircraft this year, bringing its total order book to 25 jets in the two families. The signing took place Sept. 23, 2026, alongside leaders attending the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Biman currently operates 787, 777 and 737 Next-Generation aircraft, targeting network expansion and modernisation. The companies cited 20–25% better fuel efficiency for the newer aircraft versus those they replace.
