Boeing's 737-10 receives FAA certification, deliveries expected to begin in coming months
xCruzo Brief
The FAA has certified Boeing’s 737-10, the largest variant in the 737 MAX family, clearing the way for deliveries to begin in the coming months. Boeing says the approval completes the MAX family certification and enables sales to both domestic and foreign carriers. The 737-10 seats up to 230 passengers in its maximum configuration and is positioned as having lower per-seat costs than other single-aisle aircraft in service. Boeing also claims the jet offers 365 nautical miles more range than competitors without auxiliary tanks, plus safety enhancements such as an improved Angle-of-Attack system standard across the family. More than 30 customers have ordered 1,555 aircraft.
