Bombardier Inc.: The Helicopter Company Signs LOI with Bombardier at Farnborough International Airshow 2026 for a Fleet of Up to 60 New State-of-the-Art Jets

The Helicopter Company (THC), a Saudi Arabia commercial helicopter operator and a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company, signed a Letter of Intent with Bombardier at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026 to enter business aviation. The LOI targets a firm order for 12 aircraft and includes 5 Challenger 3500, 5 Global 5500 and 2 Global 8000 jets, with purchase options for 48 additional aircraft across the same platforms. The signing took place in the United Kingdom while the air show ran until 24 July, with THC CEO Captain Arnaud Martinez and Muhammad Ovais Yousuf of the PIF attending, along with Bombardier leadership including CEO Éric Martel and Chairman Pierre Beaudoin. The company said the new fixed-wing segment is intended to meet growing demand in Saudi Arabia linked to tourism, business activity, and emerging destinations. THC said it plans to launch operations with up to 60 Bombardier jets.
