Breeze Airways is ending its only route out of Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), with flights between Newark and Charleston (CRW) stopping after January 3, 2027. The carrier launched the twice-weekly service in November 2024 from Charleston Yeager Airport, operating on Thursdays and Sundays. In the current schedule, flight MX140 departs CRW at 9:56 AM and arrives EWR at 11:36 AM, with MX217 returning at 12:16 PM and reaching Charleston at 2:05 PM. Breeze’s CRW base has been linked to state subsidies in West Virginia, raising questions about the cut’s financial drivers.
