xCruzo Brief
British Airways will fit Pratt & Whitney geared turbofan (GTF) engines on up to 63 Airbus A320neo family aircraft, ending decades of CFM International engine exclusivity on its A320neo fleet. The carrier’s selection, announced on the first day of the 2026 Farnborough International Airshow, includes 33 firm orders and 30 options. The first planes are expected to enter service from 2027, introducing Pratt & Whitney engines to British Airways’ modern Airbus narrowbody fleet for the first time.
