Cathay Pacific cancels Sunday flights as Hong Kong raises Strong Wind Signal No. 3 in the approach of Typhoon Noul, with MTR running service under storm contingencies. The Hong Kong Observatory issued the Strong Wind Signal No. 3 at 1:20pm on Saturday, warning of strengthening winds, squally showers and possible hail, and said it would review whether to upgrade the alert between 9pm and midnight. Cathay Pacific said all flights scheduled to arrive in or depart from Hong Kong between 1:15am and 6:00pm on Sunday, 26 July, were cancelled, with limited additional delays expected. MTR said heavy rail and Light Rail generally remain operating under Signal No. 1, No. 3 and No. 8, while frequencies may change; bus suspensions begin three hours after Signal No. 8 takes effect. The Airport Authority warned of flight disruptions from Saturday evening through Sunday midday, with ferry and some green minibus services also affected.
