China's Electric Aviation Advantage Is A Transport System, Not A Prototype

A new analysis argues that China’s push for electric aviation should be judged as a transport system—not as a prototype contest. It says an aircraft becoming certified or landing orders doesn’t prove an industry; the real test is whether operators can run hundreds of electric (or hybrid) aircraft on passenger and cargo routes, maintain them, manage and replace batteries economically, order second fleets after seeing true operating costs, and enable foreign sales.
