Five workers were killed when an Amazon cargo jet crashed into a van while the cleaning crew was finishing an eight-hour shift at Miami International Airport, lawyers said Wednesday. Investigators reported the plane appeared to be reconsidering a landing on Sunday before running out of runway. Attorney Jorge Garcia, representing one victim’s family, said Yoel Rodriguez Naranjo, 53, had been working 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Professional Ocean Service Corp. His wife found out through a news story after he didn’t arrive home. The deceased were Rolando Aleman Leon, 55; Julio C. Pineda, 75; Carlos Acosta Fajardo, 53; Javierkys Reyes Quevedo, 47; and Naranjo. Two other workers survived but remained hospitalized in critical condition.
