Donnie Wahlberg says he survived plane skidding incident

Donnie Wahlberg says he survived a failed takeoff after a plane skidded off the runway at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. In an Instagram video posted Sunday, the 57-year-old actor and New Kids on the Block singer said the aircraft “ran out of runway” and failed to get airborne, adding that the pilots “saved our lives” while avoiding trucks, heavy equipment and other obstacles. Aviation authorities have not confirmed whether Wahlberg was on board, but the airport said a general aviation aircraft exited runway 1L and struck the perimeter fence. The FAA is investigating; eight people were aboard a Dassault Falcon 50 bound for Toronto Pearson. Runways 1R and 1L reopened later the same day after inspection.
