EasyJet, Apollo extend offer deadline as regulator talks continue
xCruzo Brief
easyJet and Apollo have extended the deadline for Apollo’s £5.7bn takeover bid, citing continued regulator discussions. The original timetable had been agreed on 6 August, with a recommended takeover at 715p per share by Eagle Bidco, a vehicle owned by Apollo Capital Management, and a scheme of arrangement document expected within 28 days. The boards of both parties have now pushed the deadline back to 15 October, subject to permission from the Takeover Panel, to allow ongoing engagement with aviation regulators before publishing the scheme document. A court meeting and shareholder general meeting are still expected in the second week of November, with completion predicted for the end of Q1 2027.
