EasyJet cancels Manchester Airport flights amid cabin crew strike
easyJet has cancelled two return flights between Manchester Airport and Portugal in the coming days as cabin crew from its Portugal-based unit plan industrial action from 2 October to 6 October. The National Union of Civil Aviation Flight Personnel confirmed the strike, which is expected to disrupt flights operating from Lisbon, Porto and Faro. The walkout also overlaps with a Portuguese bank holiday on 5 October. The airline said it hasn’t specified which exact Manchester routes are affected, but it has contacted passengers directly with options including a complimentary transfer or a refund, and urged customers to check its flight tracker. The union expects around 500 flights to be affected, and additional strikes are planned from 19 December to 23 December.
