EasyJet confirms change for all passengers 'from next year'
easyJet confirmed it will add onboard Wi-Fi for passengers starting next year, using Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite system. The budget airline said connectivity will roll out across its Airbus A230 and A321 fleets in the first half of next year and be completed by early 2028. easyJet CEO Kenton Jarvis framed the move as part of meeting demand in an increasingly digital travel environment, citing both leisure passengers using in-flight entertainment and business travelers who want to stay connected throughout the journey. SpaceX’s Gwynne Shotwell said Starlink will enable “fast, reliable” connectivity from takeoff to landing, allowing customers to work, stream, or communicate without interruption. In 2025, easyJet carried a total of 100 million passengers and is among Europe’s largest airlines.
