Exclusive: Aon bolsters aviation unit with Marsh's Whytock and Rose | The Insurer
Aon is strengthening its aviation unit with senior hires from Marsh, as Marsh’s Tim Whytock and Dan Rose have resigned to join Aon, according to multiple senior market sources. Whytock, a managing director in Marsh’s aviation business, has spent around 30 years at the firm and has held the managing director role for the past six years. Rose, a senior vice president, joined Marsh about nine years ago after underwriting roles at Faraday Underwriting and Amlin. Sources expect both to report to Aon aviation chief broking officer Neil Maynard, though Aon’s eventual roles were not confirmed independently. The insurer also reported that Aon hired Gallagher aerospace partner Stephen Gates, while departures include Aon aviation director James Page, expected to join Marsh, and an earlier Aon resignation by Daniel St Pier into Gallagher’s aviation team.
