Exodus Locks In April 2027 Release Date: Meet Salt, Octopus Mercenary Built on Real Science

Archetype Entertainment set a release date for Exodus: April 7, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The Gamescom Opening Night Live reveal centered on an octopus in a combat mech and expanded on Salt, an Awakened octopus and mercenary/bounty hunter who pilots a specialized long-range sniping suit. Salt’s kit combines rapid evasive maneuvers and ink-based smokescreens designed to disorient enemies at close range. In the game’s 40,000-years-in-the-future Centauri Cluster setting, Salt joins protagonist Jun Aslan’s crew for survival and to protect something she calls home.
