Expanding European network: Luxair launches direct flights to Helsinki and Edinburgh

Luxair’s expansion in Europe is set to add direct connectivity to new markets, with Helsinki and Edinburgh among nine routes planned for 2026. The airline will launch nonstop services from Luxembourg on 2 July to Helsinki and on 3 July to Edinburgh, according to a press release. Each route will operate twice weekly, with flights to Helsinki on Mondays and Thursdays and flights to Edinburgh on Mondays and Fridays. Luxair said both destinations have been requested by travelers for several years and have generated strong interest from business and leisure passengers. Thomas Fischer, Luxair’s Chief Commercial Officer, linked the move to established demand and to opportunities created by fleet renewal as the airline plans growth. The additions bring Luxair’s network to 101 destinations, reflecting continued investment beyond its existing European coverage.
