Fire breaks out at Yaroslavl oil refinery after drone attack, officials call it region's biggest yet

A drone attack on one of Russia’s largest oil refineries in Yaroslavl triggered a fire, according to Governor Mikhail Yevraev. Regional authorities described it as the “most massive” drone strike in the region so far. Yevraev said Russian air defenses shot down 92 drones, while debris damaged private homes and apartment buildings. Telegram channels reported that the Slavneft-YANOS refinery was among the targets. The facility processes about 15 million tons of oil per year and produces products including gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation fuel and lubricants, which support, among other uses, Russia’s military logistics.
