First act of National Day festivities: Military parade held in Diekirch on Wednesday

The first act of National Day festivities took place in Diekirch on Wednesday with a military parade, highlighting leadership transition as Army Chief of Staff Steve Thull nears retirement. The ceremony closed with the military parade along Rue de Stavelot, reflecting Luxembourg's active NATO-oriented security role. Luxembourg's defence ministers and military officials highlighted international cooperation and contributions to security within the alliance. Observers noted the day would showcase modernization and strengthen bilateral and multinational military ties with Belgium and other partners.
