Gavin Newsom Calls Trump's Qatar Jet 'Air Fraud One,' Says He's 'the Most Corrupt President in American H
Gavin Newsom calls Trump’s Qatar Jet “Air Fraud One,” linking the aircraft to allegations of corruption and raising scrutiny over its security, cost, and use. On Saturday, Newsom accused President Donald Trump of corruption and said he considers Trump “the most corrupt president in American history.” The comments came a day after the administration subpoenaed four New York Times journalists over a report about security gaps for the jet. Newsom’s “Air Fraud One” phrase had already been used by his press office on Jul. 2 after a White House post by Steven Cheung showed interior photos. The reporters named were Julian Barnes, Eric Lipton, Tyler Pager, and Eric Schmitt. The aircraft was reportedly used by Trump to travel to the NATO summit in Turkey. Separately, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Sen. Chris Murphy criticized the jet on social media, while the White House had not responded to a request for comment.
