Two Southwest Airlines Boeing 737s collided on the tarmac at Providence's TF Green International Airport late last night, triggering cancellations and FAA scrutiny. The incident occurred around 10:45 PM local time as WN3515 was pushbacking, with the wingtip of one aircraft striking the tail of the other (WN3409). The grounded flights were Providence-to-Chicago Midway and Providence-to-Reagan National, both canceled after the collision. Passengers reportedly learned of the incident before the crew and shouted toward the cockpit. Southwest said it would thoroughly inspect both airplanes and investigate the incident.
