Hamburg hosts mediatour on first A321neo aircraft's transfer to AZAL (PHOTO) centers on Airbus’ delivery milestone for Azerbaijan Airlines. A media tour in Hamburg, Germany, launched June 24 to mark the transfer of the first Airbus A321neo to AZAL under a leasing agreement with AerCap. Airbus Commercial Marketing Executive Malhar Pendse briefed journalists and said Airbus is a leading commercial aircraft manufacturer. He noted that, as of last month, Airbus has delivered or sold more than 26,200 aircraft to over 450 customers worldwide. The narrow-body family, he said, covers seating from 100 to 244 passengers, and the A321neo belongs to that segment. Participants are expected to tour Airbus production facilities, including the A320 and A350 assembly lines, before an official handover ceremony and an awards presentation symbolizing delivery to AZAL.
