Hungary Airlines flight returns to Budapest Airport after mechanical issue in the air
A Hungary Airlines cargo Airbus A330-200F (registered HA-LHU) returned to Budapest on Wednesday after an in-flight systems alert suggested a possible engine vibration issue while over Romania. The aircraft was operating scheduled flight HUA115 to Zhengzhou when the warning appeared at around 6:30 p.m. local time in airspace near Bucharest. Hungary Airlines said it aborted the mission and landed safely at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport shortly before 8 p.m. The airline confirmed the cause of the warning is still under investigation and that technical inspections are underway, adding that it is taking measures to restore cargo operations as soon as possible. The incident ended without an accident, though details of cargo disruption were not immediately available.
