Indonesian Billionaire Buying Stake In Changi Airport's Jet Fuel Supplier In Singapore Push

Singapore’s Changi Airport Fuel Hydrant Installation is set to gain a new shareholder as Aster—controlled by Indonesian billionaire Prajogo Pangestu’s Chandra Asri Pacific—agrees to acquire a stake. The move marks the energy and petrochemical group’s entry into aviation fuel supply, positioning it to provide fuel directly to international airlines operating at Changi, one of the world’s busiest aviation hubs. Aster did not disclose the deal value, and the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other conditions. The company says the acquisition complements its sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) initiatives in Singapore, including an SAF plant expected to start operations in 2028.
