Introduces new menu on US East Coast routes by Michelin-starred chef
EL AL Israel Airlines has launched a new signature onboard menu for flights from Tel Aviv to and from John F. Kennedy (JFK), Boston Logan (BOS) and Newark Liberty (EWR). The menu was developed by head chef Assaf Granit, co-founder of Machneyuda in Jerusalem and associated with restaurants in London and Paris, including Shabour, which earned a Michelin star. Granit’s selection features Israeli and Mediterranean flavors across all cabins. Shortly after takeoff, passengers receive a bread assortment, then choices such as salmon tataki and a lemon olive-oil salad, with mains including za’atar and panko-crusted salmon, spring chicken with rice, or beef bourguignon. After 9:30 p.m., the beef option is replaced with squash ravioli, and breakfast options vary by cabin.
