Scott Sistek, meteorologist for “Seattle’s Morning News,” warned attendees of the 2026 Boeing Seafair Air Show that rare rain may affect the weekend. The three-day show runs Friday through Sunday over Lake Washington near Genesee Park, with the Blue Angels headlining all three days. Sistek said periods of rain are expected Saturday morning into midday, with a Puget Sound Convergence Zone likely extending showers into the night in Snohomish County, and a few lingering showers possible Sunday morning. He expects temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s. Historically, the driest weekend of the year in Seattle is this one—rain has fallen only 10 times since 1894 on Aug. 1, and just once since 1985.
