Jet on Bermuda-Boston flight missing: US coast guard
xCruzo Brief
A private jet has gone missing while traveling to Boston from Bermuda with six people on board, the U.S. Coast Guard said. The Federal Aviation Administration notified the Coast Guard early Saturday that it had lost contact with the aircraft, a Gulfstream jet used as a medical transfer aircraft, according to a Coast Guard spokesperson via email. Crews have been dispatched to search near Nantucket, an affluent island community south of mainland Massachusetts. AccuWeather reported clear weather over Nantucket as of Saturday morning. FlightAware data show the plane departed Bermuda’s L.F. Wade International Airport for a nearly two-hour, late-night flight toward Boston Logan International Airport.
