JetBlue is reshaping how customers shop for flights with a “simplified fare structure” ahead of adding a domestic first-class product later this year. Starting this month, travelers will first choose among four categories covering seat, service, and amenities, then select one of three fare options within a cabin: Base, Standard, or Flex. Base typically offers the lowest price but excludes advance seat assignments and provides travel credits instead of cash refunds for eligible cancellations; it also won’t be offered for passengers choosing Mint. Standard includes seat selection and no change fees, while Flex allows full refunds. The move follows Delta’s earlier basic-fare expansion in premium cabins and comes as United previewed changes to Economy Plus on new A321XLR aircraft.
