Jets CB Stiggers collapses at practice, hospitalized

New York Jets cornerback Qwan’teź Stiggers was transported by ambulance to a local hospital after collapsing during a joint practice Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Florham Park, N.J. Coach Aaron Glenn said after practice that Stiggers was conscious and able to speak, and that on-field medics administered an IV before he was taken on a stretcher for evaluation. The incident halted practice for 10 minutes. Defensive tackle Harrison Phillips said the news appeared “on the up and up,” and that the Jets prayed with Stiggers at the end of the session. The practice was also marked by four fights, including tensions involving Luke Goedeke and Kingsley Enagbare.
