Todd Curtis, a former Boeing safety engineer, estimated the separation using Flightradar24. He said it was particularly concerning because it involved professional airline crews, and federal officials will scrutinize the event. The Delta flight from Dallas carried 129 passengers and six crew members and landed safely and deplaned normally, a spokesperson said. The Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Aviation, Space, and Innovation plans a hearing Tuesday focused on near-misses and runway incursions.
