Jett Lawrence snaps two-moto losing streak at RedBud in first 450 race
Jett Lawrence ended a two-race losing streak at the RedBud National in Buchanan, Michigan, after passing Hunter Lawrence on the last lap to win Moto 450. Hunter led much of Moto 1, building a six-second advantage before crashing halfway through the final lap. Jett arrived at RedBud coming off losses in both motos at High Point and posted the fastest lap in first qualification, then crashed in Qualification 2 before taking the lead from Jorge Prado on lap 3 of Moto 1. In 450 career, Jett has reportedly lost only three motos consecutively, early in 2024, and he said he was determined to avoid another run. Justin Barcia returned from injury, took fourth on lap 1, and later crashed on lap 3. Haiden Deegan finished lap 1 in 36th after an early crash, later moving up to 10th by lap 5.
