Kazakh carrier SCAT Airlines has ordered seven additional Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, the manufacturer said during the Dubai Airshow 2023. Boeing noted the commitment had previously been attributed to an undisclosed customer and did not provide delivery dates. SCAT’s president, Vladimir Denissov, said the aircraft will increase the airline’s carrying capacity, support more timely flight schedules, and allow route network expansion. The privately owned airline currently operates three 737 MAX 8s alongside five 737-9s, plus multiple older Boeing narrowbodies including 737-300, -500, -700 and -800 models, as well as CRJ200s. SCAT is based in Shymkent and serves domestic and international routes across the CIS and Central Asia.
