Kimberly Guilfoyle Faces Under-Oath Demand Over Alleged $100K Donor Request and Company-Paid Private Jets
The House Foreign Affairs Committee is pressing the State Department’s inspector general to investigate allegations involving Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle, following a dispute over a reported $100,000 donor request and corporate-funded private jet travel. In a press release, Ranking Member Rep. Gregory W. Meeks asked the Inspector General’s Office to launch an immediate probe and also sent a letter demanding Guilfoyle appear before committee members to testify under oath. The committee cites Wall Street Journal reporting about Guilfoyle’s dealings with a foreign company’s lobbyist and financial solicitations directed at political donor Eric Deters. Meeks claims message exchanges suggest efforts to conceal the payment source via an anonymous wire transfer, and to restrict written details.
