LATAM Airlines June 2026 Traffic Improves Year Over Year
LATAM Airlines Group reported improved traffic in June 2026 compared with the same month a year earlier, though capacity grew faster and reduced load factor. Consolidated revenue passenger kilometers (RPK) rose 3.6% year over year, while consolidated capacity measured in available seat kilometers (ASK) increased 7.5%. The company attributed the capacity lift to 9.1% growth in international operations, plus expansions in Brazil and affiliate domestic markets, including a 5.8% increase in LATAM Airlines Brasil and a 5.3% rise for domestic operations across carriers in Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. LATAM transported 6.95 million passengers in June, down 0.4% year over year, and load factor fell three points to 80.8%. New network expansion included LATAM Airlines Brasil starting service on the São Paulo (GRU) to Brussels route, its 10th European destination. Competitor updates cited included Volaris and Ryanair traffic trends.
