Love of family, a dream of flying, a life cut short: Caden West remembered as the son, brother and friend who 'did it right'

Caden West, 27, was killed Saturday night in a single-engine plane crash at Blackfoot Airport in Idaho, according to local authorities. The Pocatello resident’s brother, Myles West, and another man were also on board and survived, though both were reportedly seriously injured. The aircraft came to rest across Teeples Drive, and the road remained closed as of Sunday afternoon. Blackfoot police said they are working with the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board on the investigation. It was the second crash at the airport that Saturday; an earlier, unrelated incident left the pilot and one occupant with minor injuries.
