Manchester Airport flight cancellations as airlines recover from NATS disruption

Manchester Airport cancelled flights on the day as airlines continued recovering from earlier disruption tied to a National Air Traffic Services (NATS) technical issue. The outage earlier this week affected the UK aviation network, impacting more than 2,000 flights arriving or departing the country. Aviation analytics firm Cirium reported 2,145 flights were impacted over two days, with 399 cancelled or not operated on Wednesday alone. Manchester said it expects largely normal operations but warned of knock-on effects while carriers reposition aircraft and crews. Specific cancellations listed included BA1381 to London Heathrow and SunExpress services from Manchester to Bodrum and Antalya.
