Microsoft offers voluntary exits to about 60,000 workers
xCruzo Brief
Microsoft is offering voluntary buyouts to about 60,000 employees across major units including Copilot, Xbox and Windows, as it builds on an earlier voluntary exit program. The company did not say how many workers would take the offer, but a Reuters source said it would cover teams tied to AI experiences, Copilot, finance, human resources, Xbox and Windows + Devices. A Microsoft blog post said the time-limited option will be available to eligible employees in participating teams in Canada, India, the United Kingdom and the United States at level 70 and below. It excludes marketing, commercial business and security.
