More flights from Bristol Airport to stunning country just 4 hours away
Jet2 has unveiled new summer flights from Bristol Airport to Bergen, Norway, marking an exclusive programme for Summer 2027. The carrier will be the sole operator on Bristol–Bergen services next year, with two long-weekend breaks available to customers in the South West. The trips highlight access to Norway’s fjords, including Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord, as well as Bergen’s harbour, mountain scenery and Bryggen, the UNESCO-listed historic harbour district. The two options are a three-night break departing Monday, 5 April 2027 and returning Thursday, 8 April 2027, or a four-night break departing Thursday, 6 May 2027 and returning Monday, 10 May 2027. Jet2’s chief executive Steve Heapy described Bergen on sale as part of an adventure-focused offering from its Discover More collection and framed the schedule as a response to growing demand for experiential holidays from the South West. Rupert Lawrie, Bristol Airport commercial director, welcomed the programme as a timely response to demand for experience-led holidays and a chance for South West travelers to explore Norwegian fjords, Bergen’s UNESCO-listed Bryggen and city life within a short flight. The Bristol route underscores Jet2’s strategy of expanding short-haul sun and city breaks from regional hubs, broadening its portfolio beyond traditional beach holidays. The exclusive Bristol–Bergen route reinforces the airport’s role as a gateway to western Norway and aligns with summer travel patterns, potentially boosting tourism traffic during spring and early summer 2027. Customers can book now through Jet2’s sales channels, with the Bergen service positioned as a limited, seasonal addition to the carrier’s growing network.
