Tiger Woods missing all 2026 majors after DUI arrest

Tiger Woods will not compete in any majors in 2026 after a DUI arrest two months ago near his Jupiter Island, Florida home. The 50-year-old did not enter the British Open by last week's deadline and is not eligible for a Masters exemption; he had previously missed four majors last year due to injuries. This marks the second time since 1995 that Woods has sat out all four majors in consecutive years, after missing them in 2016 and 2017 because of back injuries. He had remained hopeful about the Masters earlier this year. After the incident, Woods faced a DUI arrest following a rollover crash; police found two Hydrocodone pills and he refused to submit a urine sample, despite a 0.00 breath reading. He later entered rehab in Switzerland to address pain-management issues and was seen returning to Florida before traveling again to Switzerland on his private jet. People magazine reported that he remains linked with Vanessa Trump, who disclosed a breast cancer diagnosis. Woods' 2008 U.S. Open win remains his 14th major, and he has not won since the 2019 Masters.
