Next SpaceX rocket launch at Vandenberg coming up this weekend

SpaceX is targeting a Saturday, Aug. 8 launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base for another Falcon 9 mission deploying Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit. The planned window opens at 7 a.m. PT, with an FAA advisory indicating a potential backup day if weather or rocket issues cause a delay. The rocket will launch from Space Launch Complex 4-East (SLC-4E), and, as is typical in 2026, fly a southern trajectory. SpaceX plans to deliver 24 Starlink satellites using its two-stage, 230-foot Falcon 9. Because Vandenberg is an active military base, there are no public viewing events at the complex.
